The Benefits of Geothermal Technology

ClimateMaster Split System

Geothermal is proven technnology
Geothermal systems have been used for over 40 years and millions of units have been installed worldwide in commercial and residential applications.

Geothermal heat pumps are the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly HVAC systems available Geothermal technology uses a series of sealed piping loops buried in the ground that tap the renewable energy of the earth. These loops create a better heat transfer medium than traditional air source systems. It is so efficient that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has stated:

“Geo exchange systems are the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean and cost-effective space conditioning system available today”

ClimateMaster Split SystemGeothermal systems are eligible for federal tax credits and state incentives
ClimateMaster geothermal heat pumps qualify for a tax credit equal to 30% of the total geothermal heat pump system installed cost.

Geothermal Heat Pumps keep your entire house comfortable year-round
A new geothermal heat pump system from ClimateMaster heats or cools on demand and provides better comfort and humidity control. All ClimateMaster systems can be easily adapted to zoned systems, providing even greater comfort year-round.

A geothermal system can be used to provide hot water
Our Trilogy and Tranquility Water-to-Water units are both ideal for domestic hot water generation.

All ClimateMaster Geothermal Heat Pumps Use EarthPure® Refrigerant
EarthPure is a non-ozone depleting refrigerant and has significant advantages over other refrigerants that harm the environment.

All ClimateMaster geothermal heat pumps are engineered for long equipment life

Geothermal Heat Pumps

All ClimateMaster systems are factory sealed ensuring quality. With indoor installation eliminating exposure to the elements, your new system lasts longer than traditional systems that are outdoors. Each compressor is engineered to moderate the compressor load, extending system life.

Self-contained compact units
A wide variety of configurations including upflow, horizontal or downflow can be hidden from sight. Split systems are compact enough to be installed in closets.

No fossil fuel

  • Improves safety
  • Eliminates service lines, flues and air intakes
  • No site emissions

How Does Geothermal Work?

Wherever you live, the temperature beneath your home remains constant regardless of the season. ClimateMaster Geothermal Heat Pump Systems harness the stable underground temperature to provide heating, cooling, and hot water at remarkably high efficiencies. So high, in fact, that energy use can be cut by up to 80%.

As the world’s largest and most progressive leader in clean, renewable geothermal technology, ClimateMaster leads the way with its award-winning Trilogy and Tranquility Series of geothermal heat pumps.

Here is a brief video that explains how geothermal works.

Geothermal Heat Pumps

Using the constant temperature of the earth, a ClimateMaster® Geothermal Heat Pump System will keep your home comfortable year-round for less. ClimateMaster is the leader in developing products that save you money – cutting your energy bills up to 80% over traditional HVAC systems.

As the world’s largest and most progressive leader in the industry, ClimateMaster offers a complete line of heating and cooling systems that can lower utility bills, improve indoor air quality, reduce environmental impact and keep you comfortable for years to come.

ClimateMaster Packaged System

Packaged Systems
The type of geothermal units most commonly used, all of the geothermal heat pump components are built-in to a single package, meant to be installed inside your home. They are designed to be ultra quiet and have a long life away from harmful elements outside your home.

Newly introduced Trilogy and Digital units further increase efficiency, provide an information gateway in to your system (through iGate thermostat) and improve operation through variable water flow.

ClimateMaster Split System
Split Systems
For applications with limited indoor space (replacing a traditional system with a geothermal system in an existing home), ClimateMaster offers split systems (compressor section separate from the air handling section), with separate compressor section models that can either be installed inside or outside your home.

Split systems are also available in newly introduced Digital models.
